Personal Information We Collect

When you visit the Site, we may collect certain information about your device, including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device.

Additionally, as you browse the Site, we collect information about the individual web pages you view, what websites or search terms referred you to the Site, and information about how you interact with the Site. We refer to this automatically collected information as “Browsing Information”.

We collect Browsing Information using the following technologies:

• “Log files” track actions occurring on the Site, and collect data including your IP address, browser type, Internet service provider, referring/exit pages, and date/time stamps.

Additionally, when you voluntarily provide information by submitting an enquiry form, make or attempt to make a reservation through our trusted partner and/or speak with a Greenane House Team member about reservations, we collect certain information from you, including your name, billing address, consent for other charges, payment information (including credit card numbers), email address, group information and phone number. We refer to this information as “Purchase Information”.

When we talk about “Your Personal Information” in this Privacy Policy, we are talking both about Browsing Information and Purchase Information.

How Do We Use Your Personal Information?

We use the Purchase Information that we collect generally to fulfill any reservation placed via our trusted partner, Lodgify (including processing your payment information and providing you with invoices). Additionally, we use this Purchase Information to:

• Communicate with you;
• Screen our orders for potential risk or fraud; and
• When in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.

We use the Browsing Information that we collect to help us screen for potential risk and fraud (in particular, your IP address), and more generally to improve and optimize our Site (for example, by generating analytics about how our customers browse and interact with the Site, and to assess the success of our marketing and advertising campaigns).

Sharing Your Personal Information

We may share Your Personal Information with third parties to help us use Your Personal Information, as described above. For example, we may use Google Analytics to help us understand how our customers use the Site — you can read more about how Google uses Your Personal Information here: Google Privacy Policy. Finally, we may also share Your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

Guest Photos via QR Code (Consent)

We provide a QR code in the house that lets guests share photos and short videos (“Submissions”). By uploading a Submission through this QR code, you:

• Give your consent for us to use your Submission on our website and in our marketing, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and printed or digital brochures.
• Grant us a licence that is worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and sublicensable to use, reproduce, distribute, display, adapt (e.g., crop/colour-correct), and create derivative works from the Submission in connection with promoting Greenane House.
• Confirm you have rights to the Submission (e.g., you created it) and that you have the permission of anyone who is identifiable in it (including parental/guardian permission for minors).
• Acknowledge that we may credit you by name or social handle if provided, but we are not required to provide attribution.
• Understand that no payment or compensation is due for use of Submissions unless agreed otherwise in writing.

What we may collect with a Submission

The media file(s), captions you provide, your name or social handle (if supplied), and technical logs such as consent timestamp, IP address, and device/browser information. We may also receive embedded metadata (EXIF) from images.

Moderation, safety, and removal

• We may decline to use any Submission at our discretion and may remove previously used Submissions.
• You may withdraw consent for future use by emailing us (see Contact Us). We will stop using your Submission going forward within a reasonable time. Previously printed materials and third-party caches/reshares may not be recallable.
• Please do not upload sensitive, unlawful, or infringing content.

Behavioural Advertising

As described above, we use Your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. Please note that we presently do not alter our Site’s data collection and use practices when we see a “Do Not Track” signal from your browser.

Your Rights

If you are a European resident, you have the right to access personal information we hold about you and to ask that your personal information be corrected, updated, or deleted. If you would like to exercise this right, please contact us at info@greenanehouse.com.

Additionally, if you are a European resident we note that we are processing your information in order to fulfill contracts we might have with you (for example if you make a reservation through the Site), or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests listed above. Additionally, please note that your information may be transferred outside of Europe, including to Canada and the United States.

Data Retention

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Purchase Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.

Minors

The Site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.
